Relax on the scenic drive from Hobart to the Tasman Peninsula, which encompasses Norfolk Bay, Eaglehawk Neck, Forestier Peninsula, the Tasman Bridge, and the Pitt wWater Causeway. Enjoy the fact that your guide is driving and worrying about directions as you simply look out the window and snap photos. Depending on the season, drive through the town to Richmond and see the convict-built Richmond Bridge.
Spend hours exploring the Port Arthur UNESCO World Heritage Site, including a walking tour of the seaside penal colony. Learn how and why the area’s most heinous criminals were housed here in 30 restored buildings and accompanying ruins. Highlights include the church, the Commandant’s House, the prison, flour mill, granary, and penitentiary.
