About
The Aerial Tram is CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC through at least July 2021. We cannot honor bookings for this tour until the tram reopens. The early tour guest gets the spectacular views. We’ll pick you up in central downtown Portland, and take our favorite vista-filled drive across the city's western ridgeline, though pocket neighborhoods that feel like secrets. At OHSU, we’ll walk with you to the Aerial Tram. We’ll serve you craft roasted coffee and some of Portland’s best doughnuts with a view of the first morning light, then we’ll ride this feat of Italian engineering as the early sun reveals the city’s glowing colors. At the bottom, we’ll walk to a new building that is helping redefine the city’s skyline, and head up to a viewing deck that shows off Portland’s youngest (and only earthquake-proof) bridge. We'll tell you the story of the bridge and its quixotic lights, and orient you to the city whose east-west divider lies before us.

Absolutely gorgeous
Feb 2020
We were lucky to take the tour on a beautiful day; we were picked up in the center of the city in the dark and taken up to the top of OHSU while the sun lit the sky. Word to the wise, the raspberry cream cheese donut is the bomb! Lizzy and Sara were so sweet, and they knew everything about the city; in a few hours, we learned so much more than we had in our whole previous two visits to the city. Thank you for a perfect morning!

Informative and welcoming
This was such a great experience, especially for being my first time in Portland. It wasn’t all the tourist spots, but more personal views of the city and it was just incredible. The donuts were delicious! And the people were just so sweet. Beyond informative and extremely welcoming to the city of Portland.

Very disappointed. Weather aside, it was very much a RIP off. If you want to ride this tram, its $5. Don't waste your time on this $45 tour. No cool sites. 1 donut and 1/2 cup coffee.

I'm so sorry you were disappointed by the very foggy weather the morning of your tour. Our guides heard your feedback throughout the morning and wished we could provide something better, but we couldn't do anything in the moment to change how the fog impacted your experience. We too love the expansive views of the city that we usually see! We are happy to provide you with a voucher toward another tour on a prettier day (and thanks for your feedback about the coffee, we have been more vocal about offering guests refills since your experience, we only pour 1/2 cup at first so the coffee doesn't get cold).

Best way to start my trip
Dec 2019
The sunrise was spectacular! My friends and I started our first full day in Portland with a trip on the Aerial Tram (and of course, great coffee and donuts) with Sarah and Edwin at Around Portland Tours. It was the perfect way to start our trip; they gave us great photo opps, great welcome, and an extensive overview of the city in just a short time. It was an incredible value!
