Was amazed at how clear the water was to the depth of 15-20 meters. Three Grey Nurse sharks and a Wombi?? Shark. Three turtles and loads of tropical fish...thanks Jackson and Denis. Good value!
Arrive at the Byron Bay Dive Centre at your scheduled departure time and take a free snorkel lesson—beginning 30 minutes before departure—in the heated pool, if you’d like. All tour participants must be able to swim to participate in this tour. Receive a short safety briefing before heading out to the Julian Rocks Marine Reserve.
Journey to ‘The Pass’—about a 10-minute ride—and listen to your skipper for the best snorkeling spot. Enjoy a 1-hour swim as you try to find underwater creatures such as small wobbegong sharks, hard and soft corals, an assortment of rays, and three different kinds of sea turtles. Discover over 400 different species of fish while you are swimming and feel free to ask any questions you may have to the qualified dive staff.
Head back to shore for a quick, hot shower before the crew helps you identify some of the about the creatures you saw.
