Highlights
  • Gain special after-hours access to one of Charleston’s oldest cemeteries
  • Hear spooky stories and local legends from your guide, an area native
  • Your guide makes sure you don’t get lost in the city at night
  • Two departure times offered for your convenience
What to Expect
This ghost-and-graveyard tour meets in a central Charleston location. Your guide will lead your group on foot to Charleston’s oldest cemetery for special after-hours access. At the graveyard, hear stories of local legends such as Sue Howard, who’s been known to haunt her child’s grave—your guide even has a photo to show you. You’ll hear other stories to make your skin crawl, including a tale about people being buried alive in the very spot you’re standing. You’ll even hear a few lesser-known stories about voodoo in Charleston. The nighttime darkness adds to the creepy ambiance, and it’s recommended you bring a pocket flashlight with you if you’re easily scared. Both tour times end early enough, so you can continue on to enjoy the city’s nightlife on your own.

This tour was a complete joke. Firstly the very young tour guide had lived in Charleston less than a year and his immature delivery (the word “like” was used 5 times per sentence) of the stories offered absolutely no credibility. The stories were badly delivered from an even

Dear SC S, we have reflected upon your comments with a contrite heart. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. Your guide is a young man whom we have trained with great care. He shows much promise and we will continue to work with him, to make his tour better and more pleasing in your sight. We believe in him and we do not think our hopes are misplaced. Panning the young is not new. Every generation tends to hold the next in disdain, and yet they are our future. We respect your opinion and your right to express it, but he is ours and we are proud to have him on our team. You experienced less than a third of his tour. We would like to think that your impression may have changed had you at least followed him into the graveyard, which is the highlight of the tour. We encourage you to contact Randy Johnson, our Guide Manager, at randall@bulldogtours.com. We will gladly refund your tickets but we cannot identify your real name from your moniker. We try very hard to deliver top notch tours and we believe our reviews substantiate that fact. No one likes being called a tourist trap and it cuts us to the bone. You have a great day, Mr. SC S, and you take care. We greatly appreciate your taking the time to let us know how you feel. We learn from it and move on. Regards.

We did the Ghosts and Graveyards tour. Probably a little light on the ghost stories, but the tour was worth it to hear about Charleston history and see the church/graveyard which is normally locked down to visitors. The only downside I’d note is that the tour guides don’t seem

Thanks so much for your review! We try our best to find the right balance of ghost stories and historical narrative on our tours. It is a privilege to be able to share the oldest graveyard in the city to the many visitors on our tours. As far as the evidence, some guides show more pictures than others. Many of us like to us personal stories of paranormal events that we have experienced individually and on tours, regardless of photographic evidence. We appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback and look forward to seeing you on another tour with us again soon!
