Overview
Explore the historic Jack Daniel's Distillery on this guided, 7-hour tour from Nashville. Upon arrival via air-conditioned coach, choose between a tasting tour or the non-tasting 'Dry County' tour (own expense). See the Visitor Center; the office where Jack Daniels conducted business; the Rickyard, where special charcoal is used for mellowing; the limestone cave spring, a source of cool, pure, iron-free water; the Barrelhouse building and more. Soak up some free time along the way to visit the nearby town of Lynchburg for lunch, shopping and sightseeing. Hotel drop-off is included.
What to Expect
This Jack and Back tour picks-up near the 5th Avenue Korean Veterans Blvd intersection in downtown Nashville at 9:00am. Your guide will have a cooler on board stocked with ice and water. Feel free to bring your adult beverages of choice. The group will depart promptly at 9:10am for the 1.5 hour trip to Lynchburgh, TN. The trip is approximately one third on the interstate and the other part takes you through the small town of Shelbyville, a town famous for the Tennessee Walking Horse. After strolling through Shelbyville, the remaining thirty minute commute takes you through picturesque rolling hills and farms into Moore County, only one of three counties where distilling was legal in Tennessee until just a few years ago.

Upon arriving at Jack Daniel's distillery, you'll disembark the bus and your guide will point you in the direction of the entrance to the distillery. Here you have the option to sign up for a tasting tour or a non-tasting tour (at own expense) if you haven't already pre-purchased.  The non-tasting tour runs approximately 1.25-minutes. The tasting tour runs approximately 1.5-hours. The tours are on a first come first served basis.   Book in advance and book your tour with Jack to begin between 11:15am and 12:45pm. You'll have about an hour and a half to peruse the small square of downtown Lynchburg. Don't forget to grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants overlooking the square (at own expense).

Before you leave, take the opportunity to visit the White Rabbit Bottle Shop and purchase some rare and Tennessee-only bottles of Jack Daniel's or check out the selection of branded Jack items at the downtown general store. This tour will depart Lynchburg at 2:30pm and drop off at the starting point at approximately 4:00pm.

Very pleased with the tour! They were punctual and on time with everything. We left right at 915 and it was a quick trip out there. We elected to do a later tour and go into town first for food. Smart move as we then...More

Loved this tour! The Jack Daniel's distillery is located in a very beautiful spot of countryside. The distillery itself is huge, but small buses are provided to help you get around. Our tour guide was funny and well-informed. Very interesting to see how Jack Daniel's...More
