11/10 kayak and hike! Rob was great!!
We came with a party of 9 and had a GREAT TIME with Rob. The weather was perfect, a great hike- not too challenging. Lots of mud!! Bring bug spray and sunscreen and a hat.

Rob was extremely cautious, informational, and helpful. The water was pretty high that day and he was unsure if we should go out but made sure we were confident and prepared to handle the water for kayaking. He took lots of pictures for us as well. One of our members tipped the boat and got a little frazzled but Rob handled the situation so well and helped us get back on track.

Adventures on the River
Oct 2021 • Couples
Our favorite part was our guide Rob. He gently guided many novices (like myself) thru an amazing day. He was very skilled & loved teaching us about history, flora & fawna of the island. He quickly resolved a couple logistical issues to make our trip great.

Kayak Experience with Waterfall Oasis
Jul 2021 • Couples
We had an excellent time with Duke’s Kayak Adventure. We did the noon tour. The river was amazingly calm and easy to go both up and down river. The hike was more than doable, just make sure you have some bug spray as you do trek through the forest and there can be some mosquitos. The end point, Secret Falls, was incredible! The water was so refreshing to jump into after the light hike.

Our guide, Erickson, was the cherry on top! He was very knowledgable of the flora and history of the area, all while being able to put a comedic twist on things. He definitely made the trip a ton of fun and we would definitely recommend him as a tour guide!

Beautiful Day!
Jun 2021 • Couples
We had a wonderful day. Brian was a fantastic guide. The trip to the falls was beautiful and the the falls did not disappoint. The hike was pretty easy. There were some tree roots and rocks to watch for and a small amount of climbing. We were only there for the day and transportation was limited. Brian was helpful in getting us back to the airport. It was a bit close. Tip- make sure you are completely dry before going through airport security. We all got extra pat downs.

Great fun, a beautiful place and great guide!
Jun 2021
We took this trip with our two teenagers amid 75 y/o grandma. This trip is not strenuous, but fair agility is required for the rock hopping and river crossings.
It is an absolutely beautiful place and the falls do not disappoint. A truly amazing and beautiful place. Just don’t expect to have it to yourself.
Our guide was Brian who was helpful to everyone in the group and gave us plenty of time to explore. Brian really knows the local history as well as flora and fauna. We really learned a bunch, including new camera settings.
Brian has a great voice, his Dylan and original songs are great. Unfortunately for me his over reliance on Madonna was troublesome, but my wife and daughter disagree completely.
A beautiful tour with a great guide.

Amazing Customer Service
May 2021
Although we didn't get to go on the tour we wanted and there was a misunderstanding with our booking. The owner, Johnathan, did the right thing!! Which is huge to us. He called me and explained that he had just purchased the business and they weren't operating any tours yet. He offered us a free tour on next visit to Kauai!

With these customer service skills this business will be very successful!! Johnathan cares about his customer's and potential customer's experiences with his company and staff!

Fun Afternoon Paddle and Hike
Apr 2021
Very scenic kayak paddle and hike to Uluwehi falls. Both the paddle and the hike were a little more difficult than us 60 year olds had anticipated but it was manageable and worthwhile. Deja was a terrific guide and full of interesting history and naturalist info. The falls are gorgeous.

No cancel policy
Feb 2020
A few days before our tour was scheduled, my husband took a bad fall and was unable to walk without assistance. We called to try to cancel the tour. They were unable to refund our money. Just want others to understand that even though TripAdvisor says that you can cancel within 24 hours, this company has a non-cancel policy. I'm sure it would have been a fun adventure and I'm very disappointed that we missed it...

Fun afternoon activity
Mar 2020
My husband and I are decent kayakers so we thought this would be a fun activity. Brian was our guide and he did a fantastic job. Very interactive and full of songs and stories. The tandem kayaks took us a second to figure out, but we did not struggle as many other people did! The river trip was two miles there, two miles back. Along the way, Brian gave us some history of the island, river, and mountains. Once we docked we started our 1.5ish-mile hike in the mud! I cannot emphasize this part enough. THE WHOLE TRIAL WAS MUD. We had a great time but if you are not prepared for this, then I can you would like not like this. Lots of slipping and falling down. Also, the secret falls are not a secret. There were probably 50-60 other people and tours there. We went under the waterfall which was fun but very powerful. I would not do this if you are not confident in your water abilities. After this, we ate the snacks that we brought along and packed in the provided dry bag (this reminds me, we did not do the tour that provides lunch and we are grateful because it was just a ham and cheese sandwich). After this, we hiked the 1.5ish-miles back. Brian picked up the pace because the water was rising and he was concerned about the river crossing. Everyone made it back safe and sound, and Brian was kind enough to airdrop a ton of photos to people. In total, we did seven miles round trip. The only reason I did not give this tour a 5/5 is that you could have done this whole thing on your own and saved yourself some spending cash, but oh well!
