Overview

Admission to Alcatraz can be hard to come by—the popular attraction is often sold out months in advance. Guarantee entrance to the prison, while cruising the San Francisco Bay by day and night with this combo tour package. Along with a round-trip ferry ride and admission to Alcatraz, you also sail the bay during the evening and enjoy onboard music, drinks, a buffet, and two deck options for ultimate viewing.

What to Expect

To start off this combo tour, head to Pier 33 to catch the ferry to Alcatraz Island.

Once you reach the island, go on a self-guided audio tour and listen to award-winning commentary available in 11 languages. You can also tour its historic gardens and spot birds and wildlife. After viewing Alcatraz, take the ferry back to Pier 33 in time to catch your evening cruise.

Your next cruise takes off in the evening from Pier 43, so make your way with plenty of time to board the boat. On the boat, you decide if you’d like to stay outside on the deck or head to the inside deck to stay warm. Both decks offer views as you sail under the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge. The cruise also includes a buffet of light appetizers, a drink ticket for wine or beer, and onboard commentary and live music.

Your cruise ends back at Fisherman’s Wharf.

My wife and I went on a ten night tour of the States. New York, San Francisco and Vegas. Of all the things we did, this was the best in my opinion! The trip across the bay to Alcatraz was short but good and the...More

Formulaic but good for the bucket list

We were unable to secure tickets to tour Alacatraz so this seemed like the next best thing... and to be honest I enjoyed it more. The operation is very formulaic - they move people through it like cattle - but it provides visitors with limited...More
