Overview
Avoid the hassle of making parking reservations—and the chaos of the parking lot at Muir Woods—with this tour that includes round-trip transportation from San Francisco. Leave the navigation to someone else as you relax on a comfortable ride to Muir Woods National Monument. You’ll explore the old-growth redwood forest before driving through Sausalito for waterfront views on your way back to the big city.
What to Expect
This Muir Woods tour picks up from Fisherman’s Wharf, unless you’ve made other arrangements for pickup from your hotel or the airport.

Once you hop aboard your comfortable air-conditioned coach for the day, sit back and relax on your way over to the national monument. Take in views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the surrounding scenery. Your guide tells you all about the San Francisco Bay Area on your drive.

At Muir Woods, get dropped off right out front of the entrance and avoid the chaos of parking. Your admission ticket is also included. Spend time admiring the 1,000-year-old redwood trees that are native to California.

Afterward, on your return drive to San Francisco, pass through Sausalito for more views of the ocean. Your Muir Woods tour ends back at your departure point.

Tallest trees I've ever seen.

Awesome time in nature. Easy paths to hike and much tougher straight up mountain hikes. Something for all ages. Be sure to make reservations - you'll need them for parking and you'll need tickets for entrance. The road is curvy and narrow. Not for the...More

The first part of the path from the parking lot is a fairly level wooden boardwalk with trails that fan out and up dirt paths. You could walk about a half mile to The Cathedral Grove and see the huge redwoods and ground... More

If I remember correctly this tour is at around 6 hours long. Very good tour. You see the Golden gate, lots of CA small towns, Muir Woods plus Muir Woods beach, Sausalito and then you ferry back to San Fran. Loved it!!
