Overview
See the San Francisco Bay from a remarkable perspective on this 2-hour sunset sailboat tour. Aboard the Privateer, you’ll glide across the water while savoring a complimentary glass of wine, beer or soda. Armchair adventurers and nature lovers will relish cruising past Alcatraz, Angel Island, Sausalito and the iconic Golden Gate, while romantics will delight in watching the sun set over the Bay.
What to Expect
You’ll begin your cruise at Pier 39, where you’ll meet your captain and first mate at 6pm. There, you'll board the sailboat Privateer and join a small group of no more than 28 passengers.

During the cruise, you can enjoy two complimentary drinks—your choice of beer, wine or soda—as you glide through the calm waters of the San Francisco Bay. You'll sail past Alcatraz and Angel island and see both spans of the Bay Bridge separated by the man-made Treasure Island. As you journey north, take in the vibrant green hillsides of Marin County and the houseboat communities of Sausalito.

Then, your captain will circle back toward Pier 39 and the San Francisco waterfront passing the Golden Gate Bridge as the sun sets into the Pacific. It’s the ideal time take a snapshot to remember your trip.

Amazing Ride!

Loved every second of the ride. They offered jackets if you were cold, 2 drinks and a gorgeous setting. Would sail with them again :)

Felt very safe and secure. Leisurely pace, perfect setting. Captain and crew were excellent. You are making a mistake if you don't buy this trip. Very good value.

Great way to spend time

This tour is so fun and both the captain and first mate were great. You get two alloted drinks if you want and there is a small restroom on board. The water does get a little bit choppy around Alcatraz so take care if you...More

Roughness depends on how windy it is. I have gone on three of these trips, and only one was terribly choppy.
