Outdoor enthusiasts will learn canyoneering skills including rappelling, rope-assisted down climbs and chimneying through slot canyons on this half- or full-day adventure from Moab. Travel into the red rock terrain of southern Utah by 4WD, then practice navigating narrow canyon walls as you learn the basics from a professional guide. Spend the morning or afternoon on an easier route, or select a moderately difficult full-day tour (including lunch) at Robbers Roost — a 2-hour drive away. Suitable for physically fit adventurers; all equipment provided.
What to Expect
Southern Utah is a popular place to experience canyoneering, and Moab serves as the perfect base with plenty of stunning sites to experience the sport. Canyoneering newcomers are welcome, but expect a full physical and mental workout. Be prepared to make your way through the canyons by hiking, rappelling, scrambling over rock and splashing through water-filled pools.

Your guide shows you how to employ teamwork and technical canyoneering skills when rappelling, doing rope-assisted down climbs, chimneying through slot canyons and negotiating water-filled potholes.

While no experience is needed to join a half-day introduction for adventurous beginners, participants must be physically fit. The full-day tour to Robbers Roost offers active people a more challenging experience that is rated as moderately difficult. See Itinerary below for more details.

Great time!

Brian was great to hang with (no pun intended). My friends and I had a great time. Felt safe and enjoyed the experience.

We drove out of Moab and towards GreenRiver and the Robber Roost location past Valley of the Goblins and a variety of others sights that Mike (our guide) told us knowledgeably about. First of all I'd like to say this is a very cool expedition...More
