Start your tour by meeting your guide at the Old State House, Boston’s oldest public building and the location where American independence was first declared. The tour also includes stops at the Old Corner Bookstore, where Ralph Waldo Emerson and other famous authors once gathered, Park Street Church, where the prominent abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison gave his first major speech on the subject, and the Old Granary Cemetery, where Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and other seminal figures are buried.
