Wonderful tour of New York spots today with Frank!! Two other small groups canceled last minute, so we—a couple—had Frank to ourselves and at our request spent more time in the village and downtown than we probably would have otherwise. Frank is very knowledgable and passionate about NYC — filling us in on theater insights, city history, popular TV show shoot sites, great local food and coffee spots, etc! Really nice to end for the two of us to end with a relaxing glass of wine at the top of One World Observatory. Highly recommend this tour and Frank as your guide!!

Our New York Tour 1 experience was fantastic and our family of 5 (including kids from 9 to 13) would highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide Lyndsey S was brilliant. Extremely knowledgeable, approachable and caring in terms of ensuring her customers got what they needed.
The tour sites gave a great overall perspective of New York and was a good duration. It also provided the family the experience of riding the subway system, the best way and without concern.
Highly recommended tour, would do it again, just wish they did one for London!

Hands down the BEST tour I've ever been on!!! Lyndsey was super informative, personable, and made this 6-7 hour walking tour fun. We were only going to be in New York for 4 days and doing the walking tour first was super beneficial. We learned the basic layout of the city, which helped us the rest of the weekend.
Lyndsey made sure to gave us all basic "New York" terms and information to help make our time in the city easier to navigate and she helped us all get subway cards (which we needed for our time in the city!) She even helped us with other questions we had that did not relate to the guided-tour.
We had a little bit of a larger group, due to a double booking, but Lyndsey made sure each member of our group felt included. Since this was a walking tour, we had to keep a pretty steady pace, in order to see everything, so be prepared to walk a TON. However, the 6 hours flew by.
If you are considering visiting the city, as someone who is not a local, DO IT!

Jennifer was an excellent tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable of the facts of each place we went to and also put her own comical twist into her explanations of the landmarks. She was very personable while we were walking between landmarks, asking where we were from and talking about everyday life. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and recommend Jennifer as a tour guide, she will make sure you enjoy your day.

Had the best tour of New York with our guide Frank. We were lucky to have just five of us, so was very personal. Frank did an amazing job of sharing the history of some of the city’s iconic landmarks, really bringing the whole tour to life. Was well worth it. Highly recommended.

We booked this tour for our first day in NYC. As soon as we met Jenn, she made us feel so welcome. Her knowledge of the city is incredible and any questions you had, she knew the answer immediately. She even recommended a fab cheap website for broadway show tickets, which we would never have stumbled across if it wasn’t for Jenn. Unfortunately we couldn’t go up the One World Observatory due to weather conditions, but Jenn made it easy for us to arrange to another day. She is an excellent tour guide, the 6 miles of walking went by in a flash due to her excellent attitude! Highly recommend for anyone visiting New York. 🍎🗽

Despite the name of the tour, this is not a small group tour. Our group had 16 people; I have counted 20 in other groups departing from that location. Larger groups like this (ours had a toddler) make navigating the city by foot and subway much slower and do not allow for flexibility. Our tour guide was great but we did not get to see as much as we were hoping because a lot of time was spent helping the crowd learn to use the subway, waiting for everyone to catch up, etc. I just want people to be aware before they book.

What a great day!
Our tour guide Billy (who was awesome!) met us in a clearly designated spot at Times Square where he gave us the low-down on what we were about to see and do. We had explored Manhattan the day before, walking about 8 miles on our own, so we were generally prepared for what was in store for us while others in our group weren't so much (other members seemed to be completely drained of energy near the end, but we were excited for more). Right away however, we learned that we wouldn't have to stress about directions or where we were going, and we could see the city with someone who knew a TON about it.
We knew we'd be doing a LOT of walking. In total, it was just around 5 miles, but there was an hour lunch break, and a rest on the Staten Island ferry. Billy walked slowly enough as to not leave anyone behind. We knew that the restrooms were scarce in Manhattan, so when our guide said we were taking a pit-stop, we knew we should take full advantage (Billy also told the group this when we first met). He also gave us a huge heads up whenever we were about to go into a crowded area or onto the subway. He kept every member of the tour safe and as a group.
Our group was small, about 12 people or so. This included a 2 families with younger teen children and a few other couples. The small group made it possible to ask Billy some very specific questions if we wanted. Since he lives in Manhattan and has given many other tours, he knew many things about the area that I definitely wouldn't know to Google myself. He even helped me prepare for our next day of using the subway system on our own.
If you are interested in learning as much as you can while you're in NYC, this would be the tour for you. We saw some sights the day before that he gave us detailed facts and history about, he pointed out new things we would've walked right by had he not been with us, and he introduced us to some sights that we wanted to come back to the next day.
Wear good shoes, take lots of pictures, ask the pro New Yorker lots of questions, and have a great time!

Ian is awesome!! Best way to see a lot of NYC in one day. 10 people in our group made it easy to maneuver around the city sites and ask questions along the way.
Our guide was funny and informative. I plan on booking this tour again with an other first timer in NYC in two weeks and requesting Ian to be our guide .

Bonjour,
Le guide parle t-il français?
Malheureusement mon conjoint et moi même avons d'énormes lacunes en anglais et c'est pour cela qu'on est à la recherche d'un guide parlant français.
Merci

Just wondering about buying a metro card, do they not use pay wave from phone or credit/debit card on trains and bus?
Written 26 January 2023
You can easily use your credit/debit card to enter/pay for the metro, as long as your card has the touch pay ability. Just hold it against the tourniquet and voila!

Hello,
Is this tour includes the Statue of Liberty admission or just a pass by with the ferry ride?
Thank you
Written 8 December 2022
Yes, you get 2 pass by looks from the ferry, there and back. We loved this tour though. We used it to note what we would like to come back and do more extensively later if we had time.
Written 9 December 2022
Hello, does this include the Statue of Liberty admission or just passing by while riding in a ferry boat?
thank you
Written 8 December 2022
Hi! Sorry for my delayed response. Because I already had a metro card prior to my tour I didn’t need to get one. So if you plan on using the metro allot it’s ideal to just purchase the unlimited rides fare and you can use it during you tour. If not the metro also allows use to purchase rides using your debit/credit card tap option which charges your card automatically.

What steps are taken to protect patrons when the tour takes the subway?
Written 28 May 2022
Are we on our own to get back to where we started or our hotel?
Written 26 May 2022
Yes but the tour guide will provide complete instructions on what to do. You will end the tour at One World Observatory but before you go up, she/he will show you exactly where to go when you come back down. The observatory is connected to Occulus which is the new train station so you'll simply walk down the corridor to see the options for getting back.

I'm a little concerned about the 5 miles of walking. I think I can do that but I'm not exactly sure. If need be could I stay in the van for a stop?
