Our tour guide Jenn was great! It was my daughters 15th birthday and she even took the time out to have the group sing to her on the states island ferry which was a very nice touch! Jenn is very knowledgeable of the city and showed/explained things to us we wouldn’t have known if not on tour, only thing I wish is that there was more time to explore a bit of what we were shown. Heads up there is a break for lunch which I was worried about cause it’s a busy morning. Jenn gave great recommendations we ate Adrienne’s pizza which was quick and delicious. New York is big and can be overwhelming Jenn made it so much more tolerable, and taught us along the way😁 My older daughter is 15 and loves learning the history stuff, my 11 year old was a bit bored with some of the content but he’s not big on history. I recommend do this tour first day so u can see some highlights and what u want to go do more of on your trip and learn the ropes of the subway and what not!

If this is your first time to NYC, this tour is a MUST DO! There’s no better way to get the true feel for the Big Apple than to walk the streets and immerse yourself in the experience. Our 11 and 15 year old children loved this walking tour as well. They were able to see the major landmarks of NYC on their first ever trip to the city, and there is no way we could have managed to do all that on our own in that amount of time without this guided experience. Plus, we just learned so much about the history and culture of Manhattan. I’ve visited NYC numerous times before, and still enjoyed every moment of this tour. Our guide Jim was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable! He truly made the experience a great one! From using the subway, to taking the Staten Island Ferry, Jim did a fabulous job of guiding us through the city! Walking five miles may sound daunting, but it is almost all flat. The brief stops along the way, the lunch break, and the time on the Staten Island ferry really break up the walking time as well. If you’re on the fence about walking or taking a bus, I 100% recommend walking if you are able!

Jenn Andres was an excellent tour guide. She made the tour fun and was very knowledgeable. The tour allowed us to visit numerous key places of interest within a short amount of time. Whilst we could have visited these places alone it would have taken us so much longer and we wouldn’t have learnt about some of the history. Also, having a tour guide enabled us to make the best use of our time and ensured we were in the right place to get the best pictures avoiding the crowds. The tour was just at the right pace and didn’t feel rushed. As first time visitors to NYC it was also helpful to be shown how to use the subway so we felt confident later using the subway alone. We were given an hour for lunch and could choose to eat at a number of restaurants before boarding the ferry which gave us a great view of the Statue of Liberty. Again, Jenn’s help was invaluable in ensuring we were positioned in the correct place on the ferry to get some great photos The amount of interesting information we were provided with gave us a good insight in to the history of New York City. Highly recommended for anyone happy to walk and get close to each of the sights.

We absolutely loved our half day walking tour of NYC with Lyndsey S. Our teens and young adult ‘children’ really enjoyed the pace and information provided during the tour. It was a super cold day but Lyndsey’s positive, high energy attitude kept everyone engaged and smiling. This is a fantastic way to see the most popular sites in NYC while getting a lot of historical and cultural information from an experienced guide. Definitely recommend.

The weather was supposed to be rainy but we took a chance and decided to go on the tour anyways and that was a great decision. Claire is just witty, incredibly knowledgeable about the city and also passionate about it. We had a fantastic 6hr tour that really covers all the main landmarks and a wealth of information. She had the perfect amount of stories, walking, self exploration to make this tour our number 1 thing we have done so far in Manhattan. At least 5 times, perfect strangers commented how funny and witty Claire was or how lucky we were to have her as our tour guide. 6 stars out of 5.

Our guide was Jenn, and she did a fantastic job! We had a small group of 10 and it went for almost 6 hours. It was a lot of fun, not rushed, and definitely didn’t feel like too much walking. Jenn taught us so much about the city and special landmarks, things we would not have known ourselves. The lesson on using the subway was a bonus, as that gave us confidence to ride it more later on the week! We also got a long break for lunch. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, as long as you can walk without any problems. Fun, informative, and more fun!

This was a great tour! Our tour guide Claire was the absolute best - funny, knowledgeable, and thoughtful! It was HELLA hot/humid outside but Claire kept us in the shade and checked in on us frequently. The whole experience was worth it. My fav part was seeing the statue of liberty and the view of NYC from the ferry! I recommend you bring a big bottle of water and wear a hat, some shorts (avoid chub rub) with a good pair of walking shoes. Its a good tour to do the first day of your trip so you can figure out which places you want to revisit later. Thank you Claire!!!

Rob was our guide.
An extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic guy.
A great trip which covered a lot of ground (literally). Before booking we had read up well about the itinerary but the actual trip seemed to deliver far more.
A lot of walking but boy, was it worth it.

What better way to start the new year than with a walking tour lead by the amazing Samuel. We saw so many iconic sights throughout the tour but it was Samuel that brought the history and meaning of each one to life. We learnt so many interesting facts about New York and were able to ask as many questions as we possible. The tour was at a great pace and Samuel was responsive to the needs of the group. He had great recommendations for foods to try, places to see and hidden gems within the city.
The biggest highlights of the tour for me were St Patricks Cathedral, New York State Library, Grand Central Terminal, Wall Street and the 9/11 Memorial.
This is a must do tour if it is your first time to New York and even if you've been multiple times you will learn something new.
Make sure you wear good shoes, rug up during winter and be prepared to learn a lot.

I’ve already booked, but didn’t see the option to upgrade for One World Access. Will we be able to add on that option the day of the tour? Thanks!

My family and I we are planning to do this tour on March 17,2020. I have a couple of questions for the Tour Staff:
1. We know that there is the St. Patrick's Day Parade on 5th Av on March 17th and it is going to be really crowded. Would the parade have any effect on our tour since we will pass 5th Avenue? Or it would be better to plan it for the next day March 18th? Which are your recommendations/pros and cons?
2. Do we need to get the individual METRO CARDs in advance or we can buy it before entering the subway with the help of our tour guide? Can be buy it online and if so which is the official site? While in NYC where we can buy the METRO Cards?
Thank you in advance!

I can only answer the second question. Any use of the subway while on the tour, will be assisted by the tour guide. Ours helped us get our Metro cards etc..... You do not have to buy ahead of time.

On your way south to the Staten Island Ferry, our guide stopped on Stone St and gave us just over an hour for lunch. Stone St. has about 15 restaurants on it and in the street is a series of canopies set up to to eat under. You can also eat inside

You will start in Times Square. On to see the Library, Rockefeller Center, the Chrysler Building, financial district, Wall Street, and the Statue of Liberty. You will take the Staten Island Ferry to view it, but not go inside. This tour is a general overview of the city while walking. You will visit the 9/11 Memorial and walk by the Museum. We were there several days so we then went and spent time inside the places that we wanted to explore. You will also see the main subway station, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the diamond district. Our guide was the best and gave us lots of the history which we loved. Hope this helps.
