About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- monicatR5076LR0 contributionsSavannah with teenagersGreat family trip, good amount of things for teens, not really for small children. Lots of history, art, shopping. Really great that you can walk anywhere in the city. Night life is fun too, lots of restaurants & bars. Definitely more for couples or families with teens. Ghost tours are great, lots of shopping. Definitely overpriced but as expected. Vic’s was not worth the hype or price at all, but the Candy kitchens, ice cream & gelato shops, wings at Wet Willie’s definitely made up for it! Didn’t do the riverboat tours as so many reviews said they weren’t worth the price & food wasn’t great. The trolleys are a great option for anyone in your group unable to walk long distances. Riverfront view is definitely worth it! Overall amazing trip & we will be back!Written 15 March 2024

Brad did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the book and movie which was beneficial to us since we were big fans. - greatgray480 contributionsHistory on a Cold DayOur guide, Brad, did a great job giving us two tours of Savannah on probably the coldest day of the year in January. We did the Historic Homes tour and the Civil War tour. He pointed out the architectural differences of many historic homes, and told us the practical reasons for those differences with lots of funny/interesting stories about the original owners sprinkled in-between. We didn't see the home mentioned on the website during the tour, but were able to visit another home later in the day after our second tour. Not sure why that happened, but it worked out fine. Brad told us lots of interesting stories about the Union Army's time in Savannah during the Civil War, and added lots of new information we had not learned in our personal study on the subject. Since there was only one other person on the second tour with us, we felt like Brad was our personal guide. He answered all of our questions, and didn't skimp on time, even though it was a brisk 45 degrees. He walked a little fast for me to take pictures of the homes (I had to catch up several times), but graciously took pictures of my husband and I in front of some of the homes when I asked. There were some rescheduling issues on the part of the company, which might have been a problem if we hadn't been flexible, but it worked out ok for us. It was a fun way to spend a less-than-optimum weather day in the historic part of the city.Written 20 January 2024
- ocarmouze0 contributionsCivil war walking tourA definite must for anyone that enjoys learning about the history of places you visit. We took this tour on New Year’s eve and it was a wonderful way to spend the last day of the year. Our guide Brad was so knowledgeable and engaging. He took his time to answer questions and went above and beyond any expectations. He shared great stories. Highly recommended!!Written 1 January 2024
- GRNewYork0 contributionsStory Well ToldI read “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” at least 20 years ago. The descriptions of Savannah in that book left me wanting to visit Savannah, but I never got around to it. So, having finally found time to go, naturally I took a walking tour based on the book. It did not disappoint. Our guide did a great job refreshing recall of the events, but also made it feel like you were getting the inside neighborhood gossip, filling in the details around what happened. Highly recommend!Written 11 November 2023

Not only did he know the book and movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, he also knows the history and has had interactions with people in this true part of Savannahs history. - mattlE6479HQ0 contributionsDon't chance it going with this companyI would not recommend booking a tour with this group. The day before our tour they cancelled because the guide would not be available. I have been texting with someone at 912-704-1841 for weeks that keeps giving me the run around about getting a refund. I have disputed it with the credit card company. Don't take the chance of going with this group.Written 4 August 2023

Our tour guide, Elanna, was fantastic. We were fairly big skeptics going in, but her tour guide made us more of a believer. Very cool tour if not for the paranormal side, you get to see the inside of the home that is extremely well maintained.

Changed the time on us a couple of hours before it started because the earlier tour had some kind of glitch. When we met in the square we couldn't find the tour and nobody came looking for us. We finally found a group of people where the tour guide was. He nothing to distinguish him other than a identification badge hung around his neck. When we got there the tour guide was not wearing a mask nor were any of the other participants. Stories were mediocre and sounded juvenile. I've been too much better ones and other historic cities.

Are you sure you joined the correct tour? This sounds nothing like our guides or the type of ghost tour our guides give.
After further research, we are certain you took a tour but it wasn’t our tour.

Payton was our guide tonight and she was amazing! She was incredibly informative and answered every question we had. It was nice that it was just my husband and I in her tour, it made it more personable. A definite must do if you're into the paranormal plus history! I took a couple picture of the inside of a vacant historical home, when reviewing the photos later on I noticed a girl standing to my left in one photo, she has shoulder length hair and sucken gray eyes. Then in the next picture, she's gone! See for yourself!

If were not one one of a very small number, I would have bailed out of this tour with the lackluster guide who really had little to tell us and provided very few details that would have brought the stories to life. We got this tour through the Savannah Tour Pass, and I will contact them about dropping this tour. A real disappointment and waste of time. Try whoever your hotel recommends, not this outfit.

Your guide has been a Travel Channel favorite for well over 10 years. We are puzzled as to what you expected but it must not have been a serious study of the ghosts of Savannah. The trolley ghost tours are full of hyper drama and made up stories. Perhaps that is the tour that your should have taken.

Sorry, but this tour was horrible. Don’t waste your money. Our guide couldn’t remember the script or tell a single story start to finish without losing track of the point. If you would like to hear “ummm”. “Uuuhhh” “basically” a thousand times in two very long hours, this is the tour for you. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing.

This was an incredible experience with a guide who was a great storyteller. We got to hear about the history of the house and the paranormal stories. We even heard sounds and felt some paranormal feelings during our time there. Overall a great understanding of the history of the house and a unique experience.

The guide wasn’t good at all. Guides make the trip and he talked so quiet, showed up a little late. We have done numerous tours here in Savannah, GA and were excited for this, but after 20 minutes we left the tour.

Thank you for the review. We are a bit at a loss. Your guide gave the ghost tour with the same vigor and excitement that would be expected from any guide. It is a serious ghost tour based on sound paranormal facts and photos. It is not intended to be a theatrical performance. I could certainly see how one could be bored if they didn’t believe in ghosts or even entertain the prospect of their existence. Regardless, this tour has been a Travel Channel favorite for well over 20 years!!

Never actually got to booking a tour because we got too fed up with the rude owner. I asked to book a tour at a certain date and time (through Groupon) and was told it was unavailable. My friend asks several hours later for the same date and time (again buying from Groupon and same amount of people) and was booked. When I told the owner I was confused about why they were able to book, and I wasn’t they text me (at midnight hours after I had inquired) saying “it happens.” The unprofessionalism is hard to comprehend and absolutely ridiculous. It was one of those “...what?” moments. I have no clue why somebody would choose to run their business like this, but I definitely will not give them a cent.

Apparently, our late night texting to you was misinterpreted. We had space open up on our ghost tour that happens from time to time when people move or change their reservation time.
You may have been a bit premature in judging what we were trying to tell you.

We booked this tour with credit card rewards. The evening was cold and drizzly, but it let us book the tour. We waited 10 min after the start time then called the number. Had to leave a message. Then we get a text saying it was cancelled and they didn't have our contact info. Assured us we would get a refund. A few days go by, no refund of points, try to call and it won't let you talk to anyone. So we texted the number from the night of the tour and are told the refund takes a few days. Wait another 10 days and still no refund. Text again and no response this time. Had to dispute it with the rewards company to get the points back.
So lesson is, only take tours with companies that actually answer the phone. This one seems sketchy. I'm glad I didn't pay with my real money and had to fight to get it back.

We showed up for the tour and no tour guide appeared the entire group was there we waited for over an hour never received a message from the company some of us tried calling the only way we could get through is to the reservation number got through once they told us the tour guide was in an accident and that they were trying to reach someone from the main office but no one was answering we stood there until 8:30 and we all left what we're really disappointed we're Tourists and a lot of us are leaving Savannah today and we had Groupon and will not be able to use them and Groupon doesn't like to make refunds so we're stuck so I'd say the tour probably is a good tour but we don't know and don't use Groupons for anything that you have a limited opportunity to use this is the second time that it's happened to me

Thank you for the review.
Tour guides get sick, tour guides have car trouble and tour guides’ children get sick as was the case here
We made every attempt to allow all of our Grouponeers to know that the tour had to be cancelled last minute. The guide’s son was rushed to the hospital with pneumonia. We even had one of our guests make an announcement to all guests she could find in the square by 7:45pm.
I certainly understand your frustration but I’m not sure a negative review is warranted. We always try to encourage our guests not to wait until the last minute or their last night in town to take their tours. Life’s challenges do occur and we always do our very best to navigate around them.
If you call Groupon, they will gladly refund your money.

Hi, I was part of the tour on the night of October 30th 2018 at 7:30 Pm. I was wondering if I could have some staff contact information so I could forward some pictures I took and would like to gather opinions.

Does this tour cover downtown / city areas more? Or does it cover more of graveyards and gardens? Because I have only an evening in Savannah, and wanted to check out the architecture.

This tour is in downtown area so really fantastic architecture. You will go by a nicely haunted old graveyard as well. This would be a good tour to explore Savannah if you only have one night. Enjoy.

Yes I can, can a wheelchair go on the tour? Savannah is now very handicapped friendly except for inside the older homes.
