As you wander, learn about the Bonaventure Plantation and the famous residents of Savannah who are buried in the cemetery, including songwriter Johnny Mercer, poet Conrad Aiken, maritime hero Josiah Tattnall, and more. In addition, hear about the symbolism and burial traditions of the Victorian Age. I slotted 2 hours for the trip but it wasn’t quite enough. The tour length can extend if there are more questions from the group or a large group. 3 hours is a safer estimate.
