Overview
The French Quarter is known as one of the most haunted places in America, and with so many ghost tours to choose from, the best choice is this 1-hour carriage tour from the award-winning Royal Carriages, recently awarded the 2018 Louisiana Attraction of the Year Award. Instead of walking around with a large group of people, you'll travel to and from haunted locations comfortably in a mule-drawn carriage guided by a professional tour. Learn about all the history, culture, and architecture in addition to the ghostly spirits that refuse to leave.

I booked the carriage ride on my first day of the vacation for 5pm so I could get familiar with the area. I walked from the hotel to Jackson Square and walked around the market. Then I watched some street entertainers and quickly lost where I was. I followed my GPS on my phone

The tour takes about an hour. We did it in February, be careful it can get a bit chilly. Our guide knew a lot and provided us with a lot of fun and interesting info, but the delivery is part of it. And it felt like someone was talking to us in a very loud voice, almost yelling,

We are happy to hear you had fun and learned so much! We apologize if you feel like the guide was too loud. They get used to this with loud NOLA streets and it being Mardi Gras time! Thank you for your understanding and we certainly hope to have you return! Thank you for choosing Royal Carriages!

The carriage left from Jackson Square on time. Our guide had a great growl to his voice that gave the subject matter some added nuance. Lots of other walking tours along the way are a bit of a distraction but there is no way to avoid that during Mardi Gras. Good time.
