Overview
Enjoy your port time in Skagway enjoying a full-day shore excursion by mini-bus into the Yukon, Canada's westernmost territory. Explore some of North America's most stunning wilderness, and stop at Caribou Crossing for lunch. Also included are a wildlife museum and sled dog camp where you can see the huskies preparing for the Yukon Quest race and some adorable puppies. Be prepared to stand in awe of natural beauty of southeast Alaska, British Columbia and Yukon Territory on this Skagway sightseeing tour.
Upgrade to Dog Sledding Option
Make your time in port complete with the addition of summer dog sledding. You'll have a 15 minute Dog Sled Experience with an authentic musher on a custom ATV wheeled training cart along a forested 1-mile trail. Listen to the excitement of the dogs being chosen for the run and while on the trail you will see the team respond to mushing commands.
All passengers must have a valid passport.
Highlights
  • Look for wildlife along the Klondike Highway with its forest views and scenic lakes
  • Meet sled dog huskies: upgrade for a dry-land dogsled ride
  • Savor lunch at the Caribou Crossing Trading Post
  • Port pickup and drop-off makes for a seamless experience
What to Expect
Skip the car hire queues at Skagway on this Yukon adventure. You’ll start with a drive along the stunning Klondike Highway, following the 1898 Gold Rush Trail, to the Canadian border. Sit back and watch for wildlife: moose, bears, caribou, and mountain goats. Inside Canada, enjoy pristine forest, tiny Carcross Desert, and scenic lakes, including Tutshi Lake, Tagish Lake, Lake Bennett, and Emerald Lake, complete with expert narration.
Break for a hearty lunch at the Caribou Crossing Trading Post, then explore the Museum of Yukon Natural History, with wildlife specimens dating back to the Ice Age. Next, it’s time for a Yukon classic, time with huskies at a dogsledding camp. Finally, relax as your driver returns you to Skagway port with plenty of time to board.

I would check with Holland American. The ports are about 15 miles apart. We docked in Skagway.

No restroom on the bus. But a lot of stops are made so one can use the facilities if needed.
