Overview
Taking a day trip from Seattle to Victoria, British Columbia, in Canada has never been easier, or more beautiful. Take a day trip to explore the beautiful town of Victoria on the Victoria Clipper, leaving from downtown Seattle. The high-speed Victoria Clipper will take you on a relaxing 3-hour cruise through the Puget Sound to Victoria’s Inner Harbor. This passenger-only ferry features a host of great amenities, like roomy, comfortable seats, an on-board duty-free gift shop and locally sourced food and beverage available for purchase.
Highlights
  • Visit Vancouver Island by ferry, bypassing the long overland trip
  • See wildlife on high-speed ferry between Seattle and Victoria
  • Cruise into the San Juan Islands and the Strait of Juan de Fuca
  • Passenger-only ferry with comforts such as seats, a cafe, and duty-free shop
  • Land right in Victoria’s Inner Harbor, walking distance from top sites
What to Expect
Make your way to Seattle’s Pier 69 for an early morning departure, bringing your US passport, passport card, enhanced driver’s license, or enhanced ID card for arrival in Canada. Settle into a comfortable seat, and enjoy views of the Puget Sound as you cruise to Vancouver Island, watching for whales, seals, and birds along the way. There’s a duty-free shop on board, as well as cafes and outdoor viewing decks. Upon arrival in Victoria’s Inner Harbour, set out for a day of exploring the historic city, the capital of British Columbia, on your own. You might browse downtown shops, visit the Empress Hotel for high tea, or make your way to the sprawling Butchart Gardens just outside of town. At the end of the day, return to the Inner Harbour for the trip back to Seattle (if you've chosen the round-trip option), enjoying late evening light as you retrace a path through the San Juan Islands.

I booked the trip wanting to go to Canada and definitely not wanting to drive from U.S. The ship was very very smooth at high speeds , very surprising as there were areas with huge waves and we never felt them. Comfort Class upgrade a must, the seats were roomy and not as

If a bathroom trip is needed when you are on the boat, make sure that it is early in the trip or else even small waves outside will cause some of your fellow travelers to have unexpected results. The floors in the bathroom may be slippery and not smell good. Victoria harbor

Convenient and comfortable. Although this is about the only to get to Victoria, they don't gouge their customers. The upper deck is worth the few extra dollars.

I’ve now had the pleasure of taking the Victoria Clipper twice now (once in Oct. ‘18 and again in Nov. ‘19). Both trips were fantastic. The vessels are beautiful, well-appointed, and the voyage is smooth. I would recommend upgrading to Comfort or Vista class for the best
