So much to see and great for swimming. You get all types and plenty of food and drink stalls. Lots of boxing training there also on Saturdays. Great for people watching ... ticks all the boxes.

There was a naked man there which I wasn't too thrilled about since young children were about, plus this is Thailand and the man was a white European older person. Otherwise the beach was a little bit unclean with trash in the bushes which is...More

Beautiful beach, wonderful views. No resorts on the beachfront as there is a temple behind the beach. Lots of good local restaurants nearby and some upscale resorts and restaurants just off the beach. A must go to beach in Phuket

Wow clear water and life guards present. Plenty of local food stalls here further up by the trees. They have chairs and umbrellas for hire as well. When we visited it had nice waves for a touch of body or bird surfing. Plenty of parking...More

Even during the monsoon season, the waves here are calmer and nice to swim. However, if not driving, then coming here will be tough

This is a great beach. It has a gentle wide slope to the water. The sand is fine and there seems to be plenty of space for everyone. I loved the surf, Easy body surfing in the morning and more challenging in the afternoon. I...More

Last season i spent 4 months on Phuket island. Nia Harn Beach was my favorite place to swim and play in the rough surf. There are many nice reasturants and Massage Parlours as well in this sleepy small town. Highly recommended over Patong Beach.

The Windmill Resort is near Yanui Beach, you can walk there, but Nai Harn Beach is about 4 Kim over a large hill, if you are planning to go there daily you will need transport, as this is a quiet area of Phuket and no Tuk... More

The short answer is you can but I would not bother. The water was fairly clean but I do not believe there is anything to see. If you just want the practice, great.
