There are walking trails but some trails were closed when we visited. There were a number of temples to the Tu Di Gong (God of The Earth) and pavilions.

Love this place. So tranquil so peaceful especially if you go on a weekend or just after a rain. I went to erzi ping. This place is pretty huge so wear comfy shoes!

This is an excellent place to hike. The landscapes are breathtaking. If you don't like crowds, avoid weekends and national holidays. If it's raining, don't go: you would be soaked to the bone. Since it's pretty windy, the umbrellas don't last long! Enjoy!

Well worth touring if you are interested in old mines with lots of malodorous steam. You will need a car to reach the various access points.

For my first visit to Taipei, one of the top recommendations was to leave the city and enjoy the beauty of the countryside. I am not sure if a National Park about 15m from Taipei is quite what the person was thinking, but it sure...More

Both places are not far to each other and if by taxi/car, it's less than 30mins from Ximenting. Or you can take the subway to Jiantan Station, and take the red-5 bus to Yangmingshan stop. I trust there are day tours there... More
