The museum was beautifully situated next to the fishing port with lots of glass windows for natural lighting.
A comprehensive and detailed introduction to the natural environment, history and livelihood of the people of Yilan.
The museum has a lot of really interesting exhibits about each region around Yilan where you can learn about the history of each community, animals in the region, cultivation, fishing and domestication just to name a few sections of the museum. If you're interested in...More

This is an excellent local museum telling the local story. Everything was very well presented.
We paid an entry fee and also an exhibit fee and felt we got very good value. This was a bit confusing, so some English signage might have helped.

Nice place for photos taking especially in outdoor views
Langyang Museum is a very beautiful building. Exhibits inside were mostly about the history of the area, but seemed mostly for younger school children. Unfortunately the café in the museum was closed for renovation. Still worth taking a look.

The nearest train station is Toucheng Station. The distance from Toucheng Station to the museum is around two kilometres. It is walkable if you are used to walking (I have walked there and back, by different routes). There is some mention of an occasional shuttle bus on TA but I haven't used it, and don't have any information on it. Taxis are easy to find, if you don't enjoy walking.
