Following a walk down you’ll arrive at a deep and cold pool surrounded by hexagon columns and a small waterfall. You’ll welcome the dip after the descend in the heat. The place would benefit from a bit less people, but otherwise well worth the descend...More

There is a pretty trail along the source of the River Jordan, with ruins of Caesarea Philippi and other site of archaeological interest providing an additional bonus. And then there is the Banias Waterfalls. Nice place to spend an afternoon

For those looking for an easy walk in nature along a beautiful river this is it, for those looking for a hike, may want to look elsewhere. The added bonus of the excavations in the area make this a plus for the archeological buffs.

This wonderful reserve has a combination of archaeological structures and natural beauty. A fantastic trail along the stream may be retraced or continued all the way to the fall (see previous review).

While the Nature Preserve is very close to the Lebanese border and signs warning of mines are near the road, the Nature Reserve is actually quite safe and provide access to the Banias Waterfalls which were visited by Jesus and a few of his Disciples.

One of the most exciting National Parks in Israel. The hanging bridge is on the canyon wall allowing magnificent views of the foaming water below and leading to the waterfall. Recommended.

Amazing temple of Pan. Also historical site of Caesarea Philippi where Jesus took a retreat from daily life. River offers different scenery. Some nice walks in area, maybe 30-40 minutes and fairly easy. Amazing temples carved into the rock face.

It depends the walk. You can wisit Banias falls by car and the drive to Banias spring - but you can also walk. Only Banias spring is about two - three hours??
