You can ride the death train from river kwai bridge in kanchanaburi, ride it up to the erawan for an amazing experience or drop off here and take photos at the rail bridge.

Its wonderful place you can walk on railway bridge near its there are cave ( inside it temple budha ).... its have wonderful view of kwai river ....dont worry about food or water there are shops around that area...if you travel with your kids be...More

Do yourself a favor and take the "tourist train" from Kanchanaburi city station, it will set you back 100THB pr. person. Get off at Wangpo station and walk back on the train tracks to Thamkrasae cave, no need to worry, the train won't come back...More

Given the conditions and the lack of tools and machinery when it was constructed makes this even more remarkable. I saw it from the water, the train and walked it. Incredible that some of the original structure still remains.

When you buy your ticket, ask for Nam Tok. You can only buy one way at the Kwai bridge ticket office. I think you can step off at Tham Kra Sae then jump back on the next train to Nam Tok. You may have to start on the early... More

I have no idea if there would be a bus from Mallika through to Krasae but even if there was it would probably still drop off on the main road (some way from the railway). Although I might be wrong your second option of going... More
