I didn't find any rubbish on the beach or in the water but I see several other reviewers did. This beach is amazing, with water so warm it's almost like stepping into a bath and gorgeous azure colours that welcome you. The sand is wonderful...More

This is the less touristic beach in phuket. It is great place for chill, enjoy with sun.Water is clean and the sunset is outstanding in the evening .

Set in the center of Phuket’s western coast, equidistant from the airport and Patong, Bang Tao Beach is a six-kilometer (or four-mile) stretch of sand. Most hotels sit near the southern section of the beach, while the northern area is a bit more undeveloped, though...More

A little further away from the usual hangouts at Patong, BangTao offers a quiet spot for contemplation and all-around enjoyable beach without the crowd.

We were probably lucky when we visited but we found this beach one of the calmest in the area. It is also a very long beach so you are bound to find your own little spot to relax.

Long beach around a bay, white sand. Lots of restaurants on the sand as well as beach clubs where you can hire deck chairs and umbrellas for the day for around 300 baht. Quiet and reasonably clean.

It's a nice beach. The sand isn't a soft white sand, more grainy but its not bad. When people say its clean I think perhaps they mean it's cleaner than other beaches on Phuket, because there was still a LOT of rubbish on the beach...More

i would suggest Kata with older boys, but if you want a lot of bars and nightlife Patong beach is the place to be, only about 15 to 20 minutes away from Kata.

Idont think you need to hire a driver, just get a tuk tuk driver to drop you off at Jungceylon, all the shops and restaurants are within walking distance and the beach is only 5 minutes away, and then get a tuk tuk back to... More
