The grotto is quite pretty and when we arrived at around 12:00 on a Thursday we were the only people there. The visit took 10 minutes or so. The grotto was very peaceful.

Place where Mary and Joseph stopped while fleeing Herod’s soldiers. It is said while Mary nursed the infant Jesus, a drop of milk dropped to the ground turning the whole area white. A place where mothers go to and women trying to conceive.

This place is remarkable as it reflected a real family lived there, showing that Mary nursed the infant Jesus in this place. Before reaching this place, there is spring where one can refresh oneself after a long journey .

A beautiful cave cool and serene. Loved to contemplate on the holy family. The statues were beautiful. Overall a blessed experience. Will love to come again and spend a longer time.

Pilgrimage and tradition is one thing. To take advantage of the pure faith of the pilgrms and try to create an artificial tradition (this place was built just 2 centuries ago), in a cheap commercial scenery is something totally different.
