Loved walking up the Mount of Olives and visting all the main attractions around there. We saw lots of tour buses driving up but in our opinion if you do that you wish the full beauty of the place and how it all connects together.

The Mount of Olives is well-known for its historical and biblical context. It was part of our tour of the holy city. It contains the dome of ascension and the pilgrim fields. Worth doing to connect the dots.

From here, you have an overview of the old Jerusalem. You can take great photos and selfies from here. Morning is good as the sun will shine on this whole scene.

Yes. It may look far but actually very well doable. Take eg the Lion gate, go to Getsemaneh and directly behind Getsemaneh on the right hand side a road goes straight up to Mt Olive with the fantastic views.
