Jewish Quarter | Temple Mount Excavations, near the Dung Gate, Jerusalem, Israel
We were on a guided tour so we had a private guide to explain things to us here. It is quite a large complex with much history so some sort of guidance would be a good idea to get the most from your visit here....More
I don't think the Davidson Center is interested in having tourists visit. There is no map to guide you at the sight, audio guides are no longer available, the signage that used to be there is not there now. There is a new section which...More
As you exit Jerusalem through the Dung Gate, you immediately come upon The Jerusalem Archaeological Park and Davidson Centre. Here, just outside the City's walls, you can view the remains of streets, walls, squares and Jewish ritual baths. There is an audio guide to assist...More
What a thrill to be here and experience first hand the glory of what was our Holy temple and the tragedy of its destruction- the stark remnants of destruction are right there in front of you for the touching- but don't touch- it's too holy....More

Lots of school...More
Go into the Davidson Centre first to see some artefacts and a film then explore the archaeological park with a guide so you know what you are looking at and get the most out of the experience. Don't miss the staircase of the Hulda Gates...More
Obviously, these are merely remains of what used to stand in this region, but there is still something awe-inspiring about being there. You can almost envision what it did look like then, with the remains of the archways and roads going through. Walking the steps...More
A great archaeological site that is so very important to the old city. Best with a guide to fill in the stories that make you feel what it may have been like at that time. Must also be very careful walking around here because lots...More
