    Wonderful
Spectacular temple complex. You will probably need to go twice. One time to see it lit up — beautiful, but the crowds are so overwhelming that it is impossible to move inside. So go again in the early afternoon to actually appreciate this archeological marvel.

    Very Interesting Temple
The history of Luxor and this temple specifically is very interesting. We had an excellent guide and would recommend that because there are lots of details to this temple that can be appreciated more if they are pointed out and explained. The temple has gone through many changes including four different religions over its history. There are remnants from every period including Roman paintings, Coptic vandalism, a sacred chamber for Alexander the Great, a mosque that was built on top of it and of course all the Egyptian features! There are signs in English near the entrance that explain the kings that contributed most to the temple and good signs for the nearby Avenue of Sphinxes explaining the excavation and history. The entrance cost is 180 Egyptian Pounds and you should expect to spend 1 to 2 hours here. They were having troubles with their credit machine when we went so it might save you some time if you brought cash. The best view of the Avenue of Sphinxes is here in our opinion too and you can walk halfway to Karnak Temple from here and the full distance if you have tickets to both temples. We went in the mid afternoon on a weekday and found that it wasn't crowded.

    Impressive ...
We were there late afternoon, so got to see it in daylight and lit in the evening, gorgeous. Most of the statures are now of Ramses 11. Originally built with replicas of leaders .... but when Ramses was in power - he had the faces changed to be his ! Ramses the chiseller ! Avenue of Sphinx's is impressive. Over near the avenue, there is a board showing the various rulers ..... wish I had taken a photo !

    Beautiful Experience
Luxor temple was a beautiful experience that truly impressed us. Built by Ramses II and partly by Alexander the Great, the detailed designs of the stone statues were amazing. I recommend this place anyone coming to Luxor

Famous church was freed from the sand
This majestic place is located near the Nile in the modern part of Luxor. We arrived there by motorboat. The temple was built by Amenhotep III (BC 1390-1352). It’s interesting that this temple was covered with sand for a long time and a village was built on top of it. That’s why it has survived in such good condition. It was discovered in XIX. century. We walked around and our guide told us its rich story. My favourite part was the obelisk, the counterpart of which is in Paris on the Place de la Concorde. It's all living history, I think it’s a must-see site.

    Spectacular Temple Complex.
This was my last part of a day long trip, though I was tired I could enjoy every bit of the grandeur and amazing style of architecture. This ancient Temple is located across the ever flowing Nile on East Bank. I was told that this unique Temple complex is dedicated to Opet celebrations of rejuvenation and royal hood. Built during the reign of Pharaohs Amenhotep III and Ramses II,this Temple with huge statues, avenues, Sphinx row, Obelisks is a must see in Luxor. No wonder Luxor is considered as largest open air museum in the world. Luxor Temple is a world heritage site declared by UNESCO. The evenings are spectacular with aesthetically designed lighting and colourful decoration. There is an admission ticket. There is also a Museum but prices are a bit high.

    Magical, especially at sunset time
Easily the highlight of our trip. Our flight was delayed, which was the best thing that could possibly happen because we were late to start our tour and reached the Luxor Temple around sunset. The light, the reflection, the colors.. everything was so perfect, we really didn’t want to leave. And to top it off, we made a furry friend at the end of our tour.

My visit to the Luxor Temple with the family
Though as not good as Karnak temple, Luxor temple is also a site to see if you are visiting Luxor, Egypt. Luxor temple and Karnak temple are very close to each other so you can visit both at one shot. Make sure to spend few hours to take in the huge statues and Pillars located inside the temple. I was amazed by the architecture and transport methods that was used in brining things to the site and erecting them there. It was a beautiful site to see.

Go in the end of the afternoon
Nice temple, not as big as Karnak, but very scenic. I'd recommend to go in the end of the afternoon. During summer, the opening time is up to 8pm. This means you can get the sunset from their and enjoy the lights of the temple. Also it was pretty empty after 5pm. Ps. The sphinx avenue are incredible, but you can't walk through it after 4 or 5pm.

Connected to the Avenue of the Spinxes, the Luxor Temple is amazing
Luxor grew out of the ruins of ancient Thebes. Luxor Temple & Temple of Karnak is located on the Nile's East bank and Valley of the Kings on the West bank. The Temple of Karnak was built by Ptolomy III. Home to deity Amun-Ra and built over 1300 years, Karnak is "the most perfect of places."

Beautiful temple - presents history right in the downtown area. We saw this under illumination at night and was quite spectacular to see. The Avenue of Sphinxes took our breath away. One of the many great sights in Luxor.

This is my second time seeing the Luxor Temple, not huge and beautiful like Karnak Temple, but is amazing and well preserved too. It is an amazing experience, I truly recommend, and is to repeat again.

Another temple not to be missed, the rows of sphinx were very impressive and the statue of young King Tut as well as the queen’s boat. This temple was definitely worth walking around for an hour or more as it also housed a mosque and Roman drawings on the walls.

We stopped here while in Luxor and although this place does not rival Karnak or the Valley of the Kings, it is definitely worth a visit. Because of the location, it is especially nice at sunset or just as the sun is beginning to set. The scale is relatively large and there is a lot to see. It is easily reachable as it is within the town itself.

We visited the Louxor temple during daylight, after having visited Karnak. If one place describes colossal, this would be it.

We then came back at night, and the place is simply magnificent at night, where the sphinx alley is beautifully lit and creates an awesome impression.

Luxor Temple is an amazing place, quite large, and you'll need about two hours to fully enjoy and appreciate it. There is a discount for students, but you will need to have a valid student card. Locals are available to advise you on where to take photos and help you take photos in exchange for a tip. Unfortunately, the toilets are dirty, and you need to pay the ladies sitting outside 10 Egyptian pounds. It would be expected for them to focus more on the cleanliness of the place.

Additionally, there is a venue of Sphinxes or The King's Festivities Road, also known as Rams Road, which is a 2.7 km (1.7 mi) long avenue connecting Karnak Temple with Luxor Temple. It took us about 45 minutes to walk it.
