Cinta Costera starts near Punta Paitilla and stretches itself all the way just short of the beginning of the Amador Coastal Way. The transition there is a bit complicated if you want to continue all the way to the end of the Amador Islands, something...More

This is a lovely place to take a walk along the ocean. There are joggers, kids playgrounds, monuments and just an all around lovely walk, If you walk long enough you will see the Panama sign where you can take great photos.

“Cinta Costera” means two things: the express way that runs through the littoral and the pedestrian and bike way that parallels it. The second one is a really nice place to go for a walk in the afternoon, or a run. It is full of...More

It is just a simple boardwalk that was actually funded through the shady funds of that brazilian company involved with corruption. The only good thing of this Cinta Costera is for jogging.....if you can stand the heat and humidity!

10k (20 both ways) of running space non stop, no trafic lights, no streets to cross, no bikes. This is one of the best places to run i’ve ever been. Besides, is totally flat and right next to the ocean.

We have been waking along the Cinta Costera all week. We're staying at one end next to Democracy Plaza in Plaza Paitilla. On our first day, we walked the 5km from the hotel to Casco Viejo and back. It's better to go in the morning...More

It would be absurd to take an organized tour to this road. We hopped a ride from the city to the Chinese Monument to catch a glimpse of the canal, and asked the driver to use this route to get there. 5 minute detour (or,...More

I thoroughly enjoyed running along Cinta Costera while I was in Panama City. There are plenty of other folks out in the morning with whom to enjoy the sweating that will surely ensue. There are some lovely views along the way, both of the parks...More

We are talking miles of interesting walking along the esplanade/corniche. Great sea air, colourful characters, bikes for rent, really comes alive in the evening when the light an hour or two before sunset makes it imensely relaxing.

We rented bikes from Burke Bikes in Casco Viejo, the perfect jumping off point for riding along the Cinta Costera. Great views of the city and lots of places to stop and linger. Biking offered a much better breeze and opportunity to see more of...More

Yes, it is a 3 km running path or a perfect 5 km if you loop through Casco Viejo. There is a separate lane for bikes.

Are you asking how much it would cost to do the Cinta Costera in a taxi? You can get around panama city most places for about US$15. A taxi will just take you along the edge of it but on a busy street and you won’t see... More
