We started our cycling tour with Intrepid at lake Huay Tung Tao. It's a beautiful lake. Unfortunately they were resurfacing the road and we could not ride our bikes all around the lake, but it is a beautiful area.

Not too far from Chiang mai, and is such a relaxing place to grab lunch and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lake.

It’s an amazing place to check out. We came on a scooter and drove around the lake, stopped at a place for lunch. Food was okay but the atmosphere was great.

It costs about 160b to go here by Grab and 50b per person entrance. The taxi will probably drop you near the toilet area, you will then have to ask around about the straw hut occupancy or just walk inside one and see what happens....More

A nice semi rural lake just north of Chiang Mai. This is an easy day trip (or afternoon) to cool off and get away from the pollution and noise of the city. The lake is calm and quiet - more so on weekdays - on...More

This lake is located northwest of the city. For a bicyclist, I found this to be a jewel discovery, not just for the pleasant ride that one can make around the lake, but also for the trip there. From my condo on Chang Klan, the...More

We got an air-conditioned taxi for 4 hours for 1200 baht because we wanted a more comfortable ride. We did not negotiate the price. The place where you stay can most probably arrange for a taxi. At the far end of the lake... More
