Warm water with calm seas. We loved it. An easy stroll from pool to beachfront. Baan Samui resort ideally located at beach.

Each September sees all the restaurants and food vendors come together for a celebration and thank tourists with possibly the world's longest free buffet. My guess was about 2km long. It was an amazing evening. We've not experienced anything quite like it. If your are...More

This beach saw us spending time enjoying walks, swimming, thai massages and just in general unwinding and enjoying the laid back life. I love the gentle motion of the waves and bobbing around in the ocean. Nothing like our swas back home.

We stayed at the Briza and spent lots of time both sunbathing on the beach, and cooling off in the sea. Although not deep, the water is plenty deep enough, and safe to laze on a lilo, swim in or snorkel, and some days was...More

Beach itself is gorgeous. There are countless hotels, shops, restaurants lining the beach. Can see how it can get very crowded but it’s relatively quiet and pristine in September.

Awful busy beach. In order to get there you have cross one of the many resorts. Good beach if you like to be lazy and hang out the entire day with so many others. For nicer beaches and more adventurous holiday don’t go here. Ps...More

Nice sandy beach with lots of restaurants and massage parlors around. Shore is shallow so also good for kids. Most areas are private beaches from the resorts, so have to look for a nice spot.

A great spot to visit. Busy township at the back, beautiful beach out front. Lots of places to eat for every budget. Highly recommend!

The middle and Southern part of Chaweng is an excellent beach with fine sand, clean water, gentle waves, no rocks, a long shallow portion. The North part has a natural break water that causes stagnant water and algae so not very pleasant to swim in....More

I would stay towards the Lamai end of Chaweng- the beach is better. If you can find the locals market the prices are much better. There are plenty of shops, bars and cafes all along Chaweng though
