Worth the effort as the views are stunning to enjoy the best of the South Downs. Do dress for ever changing weather conditions.

Great views and stopping off point on the Sussex Downs, love the way you can park at the top or walk up from the bottom. Have attacked this as a dog walker, cyclist and with horses.

It just so happened that we picked the right day to visit as the sky was clear so we had an amazing view of the whole area. The car park was full due to everyone taking advantage of the weather too, plenty of places to...More

A great place for a picnic or a walk. You can walk to Jack and Jill windmill's which is a few miles to the West. The walkways and path's are quite smooth and accessible. A fantastic way to see all across Sussex, whilst getting some...More

This high point on the South Downs Way is well worth the effort of getting up there. Unfortunately for us, our arrival at the top coincided with that of the rain that then proceeded to get more and more heavy! The views were good but...More

If you are walking that would be a good idea as it is high above both Ditchling itself and Brighton. If you are cycling you will have a drinks bottle etc and when you have been to the Beacon pop down into Ditchling for a... More
