Great place to see undeveloped, natural shoreline

We've been to Barkers a few times now, the first time two years ago and this September, the first time it was beautiful but grubby, lots of rubbish everywhere, this time a little better but still a bit grotty, it's a real shame because it would be my favourite place to go if it felt cleaner. Hopefully if the beach... More

We booked a beach ride with Calypso Beach Trail Rides and had a wonderful, peaceful, beautiful time riding along the beach and in the water at this park. Perry is a great guide and has a good feel for matching horses and riders.

The interior of Barker's is a bit bland, but it's a great place to see long stretches of untouched beaches around its huge perimeter. Also a nice place to jog or bike if you can stand the heat -- very flat and hardly any vehicle traffic.

Barker's is still fairly pristine and remote. You can ride horses along the water, hike, sunbathe, and relax without the cruise ship issues. Lovely place for a nice day of sunning, swimming, and picnicking. Absolutely beautiful!

So different to 7 Mile Beach which I love too but Barkers is very special, a piece of unspoiled Cayman and a reminder of how it was before tourism. Plenty birds too always a bonus for me.

We stopped by here on a Jeep Tour. We literally spent only a few minutes here. While I would've loved to stay longer it was absolutely beautiful and serene. A little piece of paradise.

This area of the beach is mostly used for the horseback riding tours. It isn't a good one to go pitch a blanket and sunbathe. The beach had washed up seaweed all over so it was a bit rougher, and this particular area had a decent amount of trash that washes up from the ocean (rather than visitors to the... More

Well, if it was called national park, it should be breathtaking, right? Wrong for this place. There was no sign to get there. And there were really nothing to see when you got there. When you got to some beaches your car could reach, there were trash bags and plenty glass beer bottles. Really disappointed!

Amazing park with lots of interesting sights. Suitable for all ages and all levels of activity. A bit quieter than 7 mile beach, but still plenty to see with lots of sealife on the reef. Stopped to watch people riding horses along the beach as well as some kite surfing.

The beach on this park is really good for those who love solitude and sound of the waves. The beach has a barrier reef about 2 or 3 hundred yards off shore with the depth to the reef averaging about 4 feet with a lot of brain coral, small coral, star fish and the odd barracuda. The closer to the... More
