The Epping Ongar Railway is a volunteer run heritage railway which operates steam and diesel hauled trains through 5.5 miles of picturesque rolling countryside and through Epping Forest, along the former London Underground Central Line. We run a variety of special events through the year, including Peppa Pig, 1940's, Halloween Ghost Trains, Santa and Mince Pie Specials. Please check our website for opening times and fares information. over 6 miles of the former London Underground Central Line.

What a lovely day we all had today lovely train rides miniature railway mini disco and peppa pig! Shop and buffet carriage all good as were all staff all very polite. The vintage bus ride back to Brentwood was brilliant.

THe best place, in my opinion, to start will be Ongar as there is public parking quite close to the railway and it is free on Saturdays and Sundays, however you should plan to be there reasonably early as parking is limited... More
