Lovely old bell tower which is accessed by small winding stone steps. Costs less than €2 each (doesn’t accept credit cards) and the bells still ring out on the hour which is surprisingly accurate. Great view from the top.

There are 187 (if i remember...) curved stairs but when finishing to climb yousee all the town at the tips of your fingers which is a very nice site. there is also a map showing you what mountains you see from this high view.
One can also go one floor down and see the working bells which sounds time every 15 minutes and every one hour. Interesting but very loud...

We climbed the tower at about midday on Sunday and had excellent views of the town and the surrounding area. It is well worth the 1.50 Euro entry.

The plaza is nothing special, but don't miss the tower. The 360 degree view from the top is amazing -quite unlike from down below. One can just imagine lookouts posted there over the centuries, watching for invaders.
It costs something like 2 1/2 E to go up the tower. Pay in the information office (so, the tower is surely closed when the office is closed)

En la plaza cetral, se encuentra esta preciosa torre que perteneció a la Iglesia de Santa Maria construída en 1178. /
In a main place is this beautiful tower, it belonged to the Santa Maria Church built in 1178.

We went into this bell tower to seek local information but were told by the lady behind the desk that the view from the top of the tower was worth the climb. It was a good climb up there - more stairs than I care to remember but the view was more than worth the effort. The town was built on a hill to take advantage of views both ways along this beautiful valley. The tower took them to a whole new level. We could see for miles and we could envision watch guards up there in centuries passed looking out for invasions and unwelcome visitors. The mountains near Puigcerda are so majestic and offer a lot of sports opportunities.

This wonderful old building is now the Tourist Information center. The staff is very helpful and speak many languages. The maps are easy to follow, and they give many tips. It's a must go when visiting Puigcerda.

Awesome! The view is breathtaking, to go up there is really worth, it just takes 5 minutes to achieve the top. The cost is just 1.5 €. You cannot miss this visit if you are in Puigcerda.

We enjoyed the sunny day at Puigcerdà. The square is crowded and seating outside at the sun was excellent.

If you are in Puigcerdà, you can not loose this visit. For 1,5€ you can go up to the Campanar or Bell Tower and enjoy the best sights of La Cerdanya catalana and La Cerdanya francesa. The o'clock hours are also funny to hear the strong bells as you are still inside the tower.
