My partner and I spent a week in Tuscany. The owners of the farm where we stayed showed us this place. It is an ancient shop, basically invisible from the outside, almost hidden although it's on a main road. There is no sign outside, at the entrance there is only a wooden door. As we entered, we were amazed. It 's the workshop of an incredibly talented craftsman. They produce a large variety of copper objects such as pots, pans, glasses, plates. We bought about ten since not only they're beautiful, but food cooked in copper tastes real good! Truly an incredible discovery, in a nice medieval village like Pescia.…

Arrived here after a short trip around Piesca, beautiful shop, the man explained everything. We left with great copper stuff, for really good prices. Would recommend this to anyone that's in the neighbourhood!

Today we visited the store front and studio of Giovanni Donnini, an 89 year old artisan schooled in the making of copper and other metals. Although he spoke no English, he demonstrated his techniques on the various machines. We were mesmerized. We bought pots, pans, utensils and other copper items at amazingly moderate prices. We were all glad to have made this side trip. …
