It is the central square of Pietrasanta. It is surrounded by old beautiful buildings. On one side there is the big church, the duomo, which is worth to see. On the square, there are several statues. Around the square, there is archeologic musum and the library. But it is not only a dead place of sights, it is also a very living place. There are also several bars and cafes around the square with tables on the square. You can sit for a drink and watch the live on the square. In the evening, these places get very full and you can see celebrating young peaople the real Mediteranian life.

The Piazza Duomo is a wonderfully scenic central square in a wonderful town. There are several charming cafes to enjoy great espresso and pastries as you admire the Duomo and surrounding architecture. The town of Pietrasanta is also filled with excellent art galleries that should not be missed by the serious collector or more casual admirer of wonderful art so you should be sure to walk throughout the charming streets of the town.

A pretty little square in a gorgeous little town. An ideal stop if you are staying in Pisa or Viareggio with some interesting little shops, sculptures, historic buildings and a good choice of eateries and bars. A refreshing change from the tourist hordes in Pisa and Florence

Pietrasanta was a Medici town, so the layout is beautiful. The summer brings lots of people to Pietrasanta so the Piazza is a great place to sip a Campari at one of the bars, the one I love is the Michelangelo, and see the people and the art, every summer big sculptures are placed in the piazza and often smaller pieces in the cloister of Sant'Agostino.
