The visit have 2 parts. The museum and the plant visit. The plant visit need to book in advance. The museum is not big, mainly display Toyota latest car models and Technology. The plant visit is impressive, it shows you how Toyota is able to keep improving their manufacturing method. The guide from Toyota is knowledgeable and speak very good... More

Nice Museum. Staff very courteous. Nice place for auto enthusiast but not much of future vehicles. Plant tour is OK. VERY BUSY! Nothing unexpected. Stay only in one area of the plant. Worth the time to go though.

Plant tour was like going back to the eighties. The guide tried her best but the content would need immediate updating. Corporate introduction was not very insightful. It was backwards looking and didn't answer to any question what the consumers might today have. On the factory tour were the Just-in-time production and the door less assembly line something big! OMG.... More

Made a visit to this on our 3rd day at Toyota City. The center is clean, well-managed and maintained, staff were courteous.

Caught an early morning Shinkansen to reach this place. Spent the first half in the plant tour. It was like any other plant tour and was available in English. However, online reservations are required beforehand. The museum however, is a must visit for Toyota production system enthusiasts ! Can spend at least 2 hours going through all the information available

A very delightful trip. Toyota gives out everything free and the tour let you understand more about the brand. Must see

I'm not into cars all that much (at time of writing I've never driven) but I still found the Toyota museum and factory really interesting from a technology perspective. I highly recommend you have a look if you're staying in Nagoya. Tour: It's free but you need to book in advance (by at least a few days). You get to... More

As I highly recommend this interesting experience, I do warn it is too big of an effort to get there only for the exhibition room. If you can book a tour, I would say it is definitely worthwhile if you are in the area, of passing in the area. About a special trip if you – I would say that... More

A mixed bag of interest here. The museum (exhibition hall) is basically an exaltation of the Toyota brand with marketing oriented exhibits and a few concept cars. Half the space is given over to a glorified new car showroom. But one doesn't really come here for the museum ... it's the plant tour which is the draw. First, know it... More

We waited for a few months in great anticipation and must say we were not at all disappointed. The Toyota Kaikan Museum visit was very educational and insightful with the company's history, key milestones and emerging technology advances in the very competitive automotive industry. The 2 hours visit to the manufacturing plant was definitely the highlight of the visit. There... More
