We rode up to the reserve from Avola, hoping to hike down to the lakes. Unfortunately, there had been a landslide and the trekks were closed, but the drive from Avola is stunning, and the views were amazing nonetheless.

After reading the reviews, my family were really reluctant to explore this hidden beauty but the resfeber was pretty overwhelming. So we head south from Catania we drove via Canicatinni Bagni in about 1h15m in a more relax cruise instead of Avola which we took...More

This is a stunningly beautiful and impressive spectacle of nature that we enjoyed 41 years ago when we were fitter. But it was worth returning. Dramatic scenery that you won't ever forget

It takes half an hour to get to the water and the same or longer back in the heat, but it is worth every step! Amazing experience, postcard views and clear spring water to swim in.

This is such a unique place to visit if you're near Siracusa. Parking is EUR 3 and there's a fair number of people who go (if you need the crowd confirmation). This is a real hike - the hike back can be challenging if you're...More

We went there in 8 and when we arrived was really crowded. No sign of any kind of security around, so basically someone needed to stay all time close to our bags. Not a good place for kids cause rocks are really slippery, we found...More

We were so glad we visited this canyon. It took us about an hour to get down to the bottom and another hour back up (!!) but for us well worth it. The pools are awesome - just what you need after a hot hike...More
