Impressive rocks

The rocks are really impressive. You can climb down or up. You can also take the boat trips to see the rocks from a distance.

Our tour guide told us this is home to some rare pokemon for gamers. It is a gorgeous sea cliff that is named after monk whose statue is at the bottom of lane of shops leading to cliff. Known as Suicide spot and can understand after seeing this area so serene. I hear that since pokemon seekers are frequenting, rate... More

The view here is extremely beautiful. It's worth taking the 45 min trip from awaraonsen. A very unique experience.

Years ago around 1997 or so we had a car available. So we decided to explore coastal sights along North Japan sea. This place came as a surprisingly beautiful place. We walked in the area and enjoyed the views. Much later from some Japanese friends we heard that it is famous because many commit suicide from these cliffs. I thought... More

I highly recommend the boat tour. The boat enters the inlet and you can take lots of pictures. The place is famous for suicides, but we went on a sunny morning and it was beautiful. If you go at night or in bad weather, you may feel a bit depressed, and then... As the guide on the boat said: if... More

I took an early train from Kanazawa to Fukui and (just) managed to do this place and the Dinosaur Museum in one day. The first glance was disappointing but as you walk closer, you can see the cliffs spread out and the columns become more distinct. It's a beautiful place.... and also a suicide hotspot (there is a man patrolling... More

The views were breathtaking, and we were amazed at how clear the water was. We followed the marked paths and found great vistas at every turn. One of the paths lead into a cave with a huge shrine inside the cave.
