Compared to other caves I have seen, these are quite basic. Many of the statues and relics were brought in. What is most enjoyable is the path down by the water that you walk on to reach the caves. If you have access to these...More

The caves themselves were interesting and appreciating them comes from understanding its history. You're given a small candle to navigate the darker portions of the cave and the gentle dripping sound of the water along the walls made for an extra visceral experience. As for...More

The view outside of the caves is amazing and free. The caves themselves are underwhelming and not really worth the 500 yen in my opinion. but support the cause and help them maintain the awesome walkways outside the caves that give you an amazing view...More

I really loved visiting Enoshima caves. There are two natural caves which were historically turned into shrines. The caves today have statues and relics from those shrines. You don't need to leave much time to view the caves but they are definitely worth seeing!

I was initially hesitant to visit this attraction, due the warning of steep stairs in the brochure that came with my Eno-Pass (which I purchased for the use of the escalators early on). However, I decide to do the caves first before visiting the Samuel...More

Summer in Japan is hot! Very, very hot, especially on an island south of Tokyo. Enoshima is an amazing island and the caves are very special. Legend saus that Beni tamed a dragon in these caves. The caves are lined with ancient little shrines and...More

The caves are part of the Enoshima experience, so do see them if you are on the island. You are given a light to get you through the caves, and there are shrines and objects of interest inside. It is a cool damp place to...More
