I absolutely LOVE Enoshima. This island is the California of Japan. Everyone is incredibly relaxed and nice. There's so much to do, from sightseeing, to jetskiing, to catching crabs on the rock beaches. Also, there is a Billabong, an Eggs N Things, and a Red Lobster. Such a gorgeous place!

I was visiting the military base in Atsugi and had a day alone so headed to the island. A short easy ~30 min trip via train. Walking over the bridge was cool in fall so bring a jacket. Lots of cool tori bridges, shrines, dragons, etc. I took lots of cool pictures there. There is also some nice ocean views... More

A beautiful island offering tremendous views along the coastline at Enoshima. The island has many shrines and is a great place to spend a leisurely time during the weekends.

Enoshima and the nearby shonan beach welcomed hundreds of people for the final fireworks festival of the year on October 15th. It was a bit chilly but due to the beautiful sunset and Mount Fuji in the background nobody cared! First foreworks were ignited at 18:00 and it was completely dark by then so we enjoyed a beautiful show of... More

Absolutely beautiful with wonderful views and lovely shrines. The only downside was in August the eating places at the top of Enoshima were crowded and expensive but the street shows were very good and donations only

We don't have time to visit the Iwaya Cave but do manage to view the nice view of sunset from there. For those who like to collect pressed coin, you will find the machines at the Enoshima Station.

We arrived at Fujisawa with no expectations and were pleasantly surprised by this laid-back beachside town with great restaurants, shopping and a wide variety of nightlife options. Enoshima Island is only 3 train stops away, the Hawaiian influence here is immediately apparent and even the train station building oozes character and charm. The island itself has so much culture with... More

I had not planned to visit Enoshima Island early in my trip to Tokyo, but after seeing Mt. Fuji on the horizon from my hotel in Shinjuku on the 2nd day, I took that as an omen and changed plans immediately. Taking the Shonan-Monorail from Ofuna, I was teased with views of Mt. Fuji all the way down to station,... More

We have visited the Island during a Japanes holiday and therefore there are a lot of people . We are not able to visit everything that our one day pass allows us to visit as well. I would recommend you to visit this Island but not during any Japanese holidays .
