I visited Ashikaga in last week of April 2016. It is about an hour train ride outside of Tokyo. It was Golden Week so it was pretty packed that afternoon. It was a beautiful, sunny and warm afternoon. Warm enough to have Wisteria ice cream. The wisteria were very beautiful and in full bloom already at this time of year.... More

The day that we arrive to this park it was raining a bit on and off, However it was still beautiful and actually really relaxing. I been to many flower parks before in the United States and this one by far is the most beautiful park I have ever been to. Every single flower and plant were planted perfectly in... More

Especially early summer, when it is the peak time for Wisteria. Been here also in winter where there is the illumination of roses. Great for family, since they open many food booth inside. The location is a little bit far from the station (by foot).

We spent a day at the Ashikaga Flower Park in mid May and absolutely loved it. The wisteria flowers that we were hoping to see were mostly gone by mid-May however the yellow wisteria were still around and they were gorgeous. The peonies had also wilted by this time of the year however the roses were everywhere and they were... More

go here in may or december and you will never feel regret for coming here. it should be called "heaven on earth" for it's beauty. especially if you go just on time in may when the fuji flower fully blossom. going under the magically purple blossoming fuji tunel brings a really amazing feeling

In May We hoped to get the great view of the wisteria but all the flowers were gone due to heavy rain few days before. However, still have a lot of other flowers in the garden for us to enjoy !

Unfortunately, I visited here in July and many of the plants were not in bloom. However, there were some beautiful yesr round flowers in bloom to enjoy. Also, there are ponds with lilies and fish in them. In another pond, I saw what looked like crayfish. Although, it is hot to go visit during this time, it was good for... More

We carefully planned for this trip to see wisteria! To our eyes pleasure...we did get what we so want to see...wisteria in many colors but I must say the purple was the most beautiful! Overall, the park is one of the most beautiful gorgeous flower park I have been! It takes about 2 hours train ride from Tokyo and it... More

During my trip in May, I had told myself that I needed to visit this park to see the beautiful display of wisteria which it was very well known for. Unfortunately by the time I had visited, the wisteria had already finished blooming which was kind of a let down for myself as it was something I had truly wished... More

Around 2 hours travel from Tokyo to there, and then take around 15 mins walk from train station. Must try the ice-cream sold inside the park.
