A huge cave (supposedly the St. Peter church of Vatican City gets inside!), not a lot of stalactites/mites, but still a nice one hour tour in Italian an English.

This cave is not for people with weak knees, or walking disability, because of the 500 steps, both up and down. The guide we had was very good. He started the Italian tour 5 min. Before ours, and then when we walked, he would explain...More

The cave is fabulous but customer service needs working on. When you arrive you are given a page in your spoken language. We were given a page in English. That’s really all you need. The tour is frustrating as it’s all done in Italian. The...More

The Gulf of Trieste is just like a wind tunnel, and it is often rainy over there. In the very heat of summer days or in those windswept ones it’s a perfect choice to visit the Giant Cave where the temperature is always 11C. The...More

Made a visit with the family and attended twice the November run through the cave - Cronotraversata del Maestro - over the 500 steps down and the 500 steps up. Till 2006 it was declared the biggest cave in Europe. Recommended.

Great experience. The guide did the tour in two languages, Italian and English. The cave is big, with impressive stalactites and stalagmites. The temperature is quite low inside, so bring a light sweater. Not advised if you have problems walking, as there are 500 steps...More
