Like all thing's in Japan, the ferries are not shy of efficiency. Smooth sail and clear instructions in both Japanese & English. Vending machines also available onboard.

Not sure what else to say about a ferry. It accepts the Japan Rail Pass as well. There are toilets on board and a vending machine. Also cars can use the ferry.

There's plenty of signage to get to/from the Miyajima Ferry. It was free with my JR pass and it's only a quick trip.

This is an easy way to get to the island from the mainland. We had JR railway passes and that covered our fee for riding the ferry over. It only takes about ten minutes to get there.

Convenient and quick. Only 15 minutes or so and very slick loading and unloading. Very frequent and no problem with signage.

We took this ferry from a ferry terminal which was located within 5 minutes walk from Miyajima-guchi station. Once you arrive in Miyajima-guchi station and exit from its main entrance, you will immediately see it. The ferry runs on certain schedule, once every 10 ~...More

¥360 which is £2.48 Return so a real bargain. A ferry every few minutes so no need to wait very long at all. Safety announcements in English as well as Japanese on board. Clean and tidy what else could you ask for.

We plan to drive and take our car on the ferry from Miyajima to Hiroshima. Is it possible? If so, how much would it cost for vehicle and passengers (1 mini van and 6 passengers)? Thank you.

Hiya, yes we bought a JR pass also. You can use it from the Airport and travel all the way to Osaka on it. You would also use it from Toyko to Odawarra, then you will need to buy a Hakone travel pass to get you up to... More

If you will be in Japan for about 1 week and traveling between cities such as the ones you listed, it is worthwhile to purchase the 7 day Japan Railpass . In addition, buy the PASSMO smart card. This card allows you to... More
