Excellent view point towards the Ponte 25 de Abril and Lisbon. When you leave the ferry at Cacilhas turn right immediately and keep on walking on the Rua Ginjal until you pass the restaurant Ponto Final. Then you’ll see the elevator. The view from below...More

Took the ferry across Tagus from Lisbon to Cacilhas and walked along the old wharves. Great view of Lisbon. Had a good lunch at the Restaurante Farol-Amada-Portugal. Worth the time. Inexpensive fare.

After wandering through the town and taking in the views, you arrive at this panoramic elevator - a man appears from nowhere - takes your 50 cents and escorts you to the bottom of the cliff where there are walks and seaside restaurants.

Very nice view from the elevator to Lisboa. Ticket cost EUR 1,-. Also the way to the Elevator is nice. Close to Tejo river. If you like to use the stairs: the stairs starts at Punto Final

A small elevator that only came up 5 minutes after I pressed the button. Oh, an old man open the door and asked for one euro for the ticket. Okay. Crowd gets in. Smell of dog or human urine in the lift. The windows were...More

There isn't a lot to say about this, it's an elevator with nice views. But it's certainly a lot easier than using the road (blind bends and quite steep) or the long staircase, and at 50 cents each way it's good value!
