Only remain main gate and base of castle. But stone wall is a great built on Edo era, and very good place to watch cherry blossom in Spring.
There is big bell on top, and bell keeper is striking it every day to inform time to citizon. you can see his task on 6:00, 8:00, 10:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 17:00.
By local bus, only 7 min form Nobeoka station, operated every hour from 9:00 am to 16:00 pm.
"Nobeoka Machinaka Bus", go with orange colored bus and back with green one. both in service only weekday.
Map Code "136 889 382*73" for car navigation system.

Quiet spot with a great view
Apr 2015 • Solo
Shiroyama Park is essentially the foundation of the castle which was occupied by the Naito clan before the Meiji Restoration. When the Emperor returned to power, it was dismantled. There are a few standing monuments placed where watchtowers used to be, and you can still see the foundations of gates and the like, with a bell on the summit rang daily. A peaceful place with the best view of the city!
