This is not a large garden but definitely worth a visit during times of red leaves. My wife and I are both keen leisure photographers and we had a great time taking photos of scenery and portraits there. In fact, we wanted to view the lighted red trees at night, so we stayed in the onsen hotel here as well... More

We came one hot summer evening for the light show. It was no easy feat for us as we have a toddler and a kid walking on a very dim, narrow path. The toddler refused to walk most of the time (quite dark and scary for him) and we had to take turns to carry him which made us even... More

We visited one evening during the summer to watch the light show that is projected onto the pond. Very unique show. My favorite part was walking through the garden at night; they used painted bamboo and tea-light candles to create a neat ambiance. The crowds, dim lighting, and uneven ground made some parts bit hard to navigate but well worth... More

Stayed this hotel for visiting their famous garden, we got unlimited free entry of the garden during the stay. A bit disappointed with the garden, probably not visited at a right time. Helpful staff speaking good English. My room is small decorated in Japanese style. The room price included nice breakfast and dinner. Onsen is opened for hotel guests

Went on 7th May 2016, no more purple wisteria, only white wisteria. Other flower also mostly have died, make sure you go at the end of April or it will not be worth it. 1 star.

The admission is 400 yen for adult. However, I heard the admission varies according to the season. Came here on January 2nd. The trees and plants were mostly bald. However, the garden is still very beautiful. I can tell from the decoration that the garden must be beautiful with various flowers. For example, there are a small hill where azalea... More

It's a very beautiful park, but we were still too early for the autumn colours. (This may not be such a good year for autumn colours ... as many of the leaves are already dying, still green.) It's a little expensive for 600 yen (being the same price for during the day), but the main area of the pond is... More
