The castle is very amazing. The views are spectacular. Got to the castle at 12pm. The staff that sold the tour tickets said there was an English tour at 12:15, got to the tour location and the tour was in German, would have to wait until 2pm for the English tour. Could not wait and they refused to reimburse us... More

The moderate walk up the last slopes was well worth the tour and the views. The history is well represented in the displays and the landmark is amazing. I was able to see it from a distant observation point, and coming to see it up close fulfilled my expectations.

This is a beautiful castle (although not particularly old). The views are spectacular and the two chapels were lovely. We did pay for the tour. While they do have an English tour, be prepared for the fact that the tours run every 15 minutes and there is only one in English per hour. There were far too many people in... More

First of all, the castle itself is stunning, on a beautiful location and with some impressive architecture elements. The tour on the other hand, is a nightmare. The 99% of the tour (around 45') goes on and on about the family tree of the people who own the place. It is like reading their (dull) biographies - married to X,... More

The trek to this castle was a bit testing, but the place is wonderful and makes the trek worth it. I parked the car even before the designated parking spot and trekked through the forest, which was nice. I visited the place on a weekend and it was crowded. Don't remember how much I paid but there were tour guides... More

Hohenzollern is beautiful! We hitched a ride from the local town and walked from the car park to the castle itself, it costs around €10 to enter and another €10 for a tour of the inside, I would recommend good weather otherwise you'll be disappointed... we walked down from the castle back to station which took about 1 1/2 hours... Nice place and def worth a visit - the tour was good and the guide interesting. Skip the restaurant where they give you bad overpriced food and charge for the butter.

The castle is very nice but is not worth to pay 12€ for the guided tour, which just show you 4 rooms of the whole castle. Nobody ask for ticket to see the outside part of the castle or the chapels, but to pay 3 € per room is a bit overpriced. Therefore it is a private owned castle, it... More

We travelled to Hohenzollern Castle from Stuttgart which itself was an adventure. We took the train from Stuttgart to Hohenzollern village and then a bus from the station to the castle car park and then finally the shuttle bus up to the castle on top of the mountain. You can see the castle from the village below and it does... More

I went for the Christmas market. A handful of stalls. 10 Euro each for two people. About 1 Euro per stall or a bit more. Small and no tours during market. I advise going when market is not on.
