Romantic landscaped garden from 1850 with viewpoints overlooking the fjord, mountains and waterfalls. The tennant's farm Treo gives an impression of everyday life with farm animals and activities. Kitchen & Herb Garden with herbs, flowers, vegetables & fruits.Cafés with home made cakes and lunch with ingredients from local suppliers and fresh ingredients from the Kitchen & Herb Garden.Accommodation in B&B at the Home Farm Avlsgården 300 metres from the Manor.

We came here on a fjord tour. You have to walk to get there but it isn't far from the ferry terminal. It's the oldest castle in Norway and it's beautiful. It doesn't really look like a castle but the grounds are amazing and it's...More

Beautiful, romantic and perhaps even better at nights when popular artists perform concerts. Join in on the guided tour to see the art exhibition as well. Otherwise the restaurant was good although a bit of waiting in a queue is to be expected. Better still,...More

We visited thru a package trip with Rodne cruises. The 1665 manor is an amazing look back into the past with stone walls 2 feet thick and many original details from the 1600s. Addionally the 20 minute walk up from the port is a relaxing...More

Dear Adele H, Thank you for your lovely review. You are quite right, Baroniet Rosendal was indeed a cultural centre in Norway especially in the 19th century where authors, musicians, composers and painters came to visit, hold house concerts and deliver paintings. Some of them...More
